Saints Academy Gets More Internationals

Saints Academy Gets More Internationals

Luke Shaw has been in the squad before and would probably have played a part in the Algarve Tournament which was played earlier this week if he hadn't picked up an injury.

The tournament was played with teams from France, Holland and England playing each other.

Calum Chambers, a midfielder, played and scored in a 2-2 draw with Holland on Saturday and then on Monday scored again in the decider against France with the team winning 2-1 to win the tournament.

In addition to the two call ups, Bevis Mugabi was also on standby for the national squad for the first time, as Saints' blossoming Academy talents continue to progress at the highest level.

With some of the slightly older youngsters beginning to push for first team chances this additional recognition shows that we have more names in the pipeline.

Long may this trend continue.

Will we have more scouts going to their games then? Tell them to go somewhere else.
