Southampton Squad Feeling Refreshed

Southampton Squad Feeling Refreshed

The best news concerned Adam Lallana who the gaffer says is flying. He had Saturday off to rest and he is looking very sharp which for us fans sounds fantastic.

The thing that showed me how professional the club is now was when he said, 'We flew back from Leeds and were back in training at 10am on Sunday morning. We debriefed the game and then did an MOT on the players and because of the rain we had to adapt the training a little bit for some of the lads.'

No rest for the wicked obviously.

Nigel said how much the squad is looking forward to the Ipswich game but did warn that we should be aware of the fact that the Tractor Boys have won five of their last six games.

With both teams getting some good results lately this could be a game of open attacking football. Though dangerous in attack I do feel that defensively they are not as strong as us, and take us to win.

Our squad is strong and everybody seems to be pulling together which isn't always the case when some players don't get a game.

With Lallana a racing cert to play I am sure we will see a few goals and hopefully we will also see Billy Sharp get a game and a goal or .two
