'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jos Upbeat Regarding Our Hopes

Our defender said talking to the Saints player that there are still 24 points to play for. With us a minimum of 4 points clear that would mean us needing 7 wins to guarantee finishing top.

Looking at the fixtures that lay ahead I tend to feel that 5 wins will be enough to see us promoted and 6 will give us the title.

Saints beat Hull to make it eleven league games unbeaten, and Jos praised the team's approach in ensuring they took maximum points on the road for the fourth game in a row.

'It's a very difficult place to go I think with a difficult pitch, in fact the rugby lines are still on it so to win 2-0 and keep a clean sheet at this stage.

With our support being praised Jos was adamant that our support has been a big boost to the team. Admitting that at times that he could feel the tension from the fans he asked that we remained positive.

He said, 'They have been brilliant all season and you know that sometimes they get a bit nervous and I want to say don't get nervous, just support us, keep coming and show the positivity that you always have.'

Easier said than done though but I am more confident than ever that we will reach our target.
