Lallana Looking Forward To Challenge

Lallana Looking Forward To Challenge

Adam Lallana has backed Southampton to be a surprise package in the Premiership next season and he doesn't believe it will be all about survival for us.

Speaking to saintsfc as our achievement this season starts to sink in, Lallana said.

'If we keep doing what we do, I think we're going to do well next year. It's not just about surviving. This is a massive club that has been in the Premier League for so many years. It's been a graft to get back to where we want to be, but we've got a big support - both financially and from our fans - so why can't we stay there? It's going to be good fun.'

Lallana believes the secret will be sensible growth from the manager, as Adkins has already talked about, and maintaining the spirit and ethic the squad currently has.

'We have to keep all the lads together because we've got a great team ethic. We work for each other day in and day out, and we're reaped the rewards this season.'
