Hammond Looking Forward To Prem Shot
Dean Hammond has said he is looking forward to finally having a crack at the Premier League next season.
The 29 year old midfielder has so far spent his career outside of top flight football, and he's now finally got his chance at the big time.
Speaking to saintsfc he said.
'I've been playing in the lower leagues for quite a bit of my career, and joined Southampton when we were in League One. I always knew that we had the ambition to get to the Premier League and I wanted to be part of that. It's no accident that we've achieved what we have.'
As for the personal element that promotion brings, he added.
'It's a dream, you want to play at the top level, against the top players and to test yourself against them. This season is one for the memories, I'll never forget it.'
