Official - Saints Sign Rodriguez
Jay Rodriguez is now officially a Southampton player after penning a 4 year deal earlier today.
The 22 year old has joined the club for a reported record breaking transfer fee of £7m.
Speaking to saintsfc after the paperwork was completed, Rodriguez said of his move.
'I'm really relieved that we've got it sorted now, I can't wait for the start of the season. This is a great club, a massive club, and they're where they belong. It's a squad I want to be a part of, and it's really exciting.'
Nigel Adkins was obviously delighted with his first capture of the summer.
'Jay is an exciting young prospect, so I am really happy he is our first signing of the summer. There has been a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes and we are delighted Jay has signed for us. His characteristics are what we have been looking for.'
