'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Young Fullback Going Nowhere

With the latest speculation surrounding 16 year old Luke Shaw, Nigel Adkins is adamant that he won't be going anywhere.

Speaking to Sky Sports Adkins said that the club had no intention of letting any of our young stars leave, and he doesn't really see why they would want to with Southampton now plying their trade in top flight football.

'Luke Shaw is a big part of our future plans, we have got no intention, believe you me, of letting any of our young players move on. We want them in the first team in the Premier League, playing for Southampton Football Club.'

In other transfer news, the press are linking us with a move for Crystal Palace's Football League Young Player of the Year Wilfried Zaha.
