Davis' Debut At The Weekend?
Nigel Adkins has confirmed that Steven Davis 'may' play at the weekend, despite the comments from Rangers.
Speaking to the Daily Echo the manager confirmed that Davis was 100% a Southampton player and his plans won't be disrupted by Rangers' claim that the contract is void.
'I've seen reports but we're 100% sure that Steven Davis is a Southampton player. Everything is organised, everything is done and he will play at the weekend.'
However, strangely Adkins then adds that Davis is carrying a little knock from last season so.
'We won't risk him at the weekend, we'll make sure he is right, but he is 100% a Southampton player, and if fit, he could play tomorrow.'
Be nice to see him make a cameo to put the speculation to bed as Adkins does say he's running and kicking the ball around at the training ground, as people are only going to question the 'injury'.
