Goalkeeper Added For Coming Season
Southampton have signed Argentinian 20 year old Paulo Gazzaniga on a four year deal.
The youngster joins us from League 2 Gillingham for an undisclosed fee.
As part of the deal, Tommy Forecast will join Gillingham on a season long loan.
Speaking to saintsfc the goalkeeper said.
'I am very happy because signing for a Premier League team is a dream. It's mad because I only played a few matches last season, but the club has a lot of ambition, so I was eager to sign. I can't wait to get started.'
Nigel Adkins explained the surprising choice, by saying.
'We have been looking for a young, hungry, goalkeeper and Paulo fitted that mould. We are delighted that we have secured his services and that he has come out to Evian to join up with the group.'
