Foreign Opposition Perfect Test
Nigel Adkins has said tasting foreign style in pre season will aide Southampton's bid to finish as high as possible in the league this season.
Speaking to saintsfc, Adkins said the varying styles of the opposition we will face this pre season, will set us up perfectly for our league challenge.
Ajax visit this weekend, and Adkins couldn't be more pleased to see us test ourselves against such high quality opposition.
'With Anderlecht, Arsenal, Ajax and Udinese, we have teams coming in who play a different way - they are used to keeping good possession and will be clinical when they do get opportunities. We have to make sure we can adhere to that because we are going to be faced with situations where it could quite easily be like that. It's about arming ourselves with many way of playing, dealing with the opposition and dominating them. We can't just play one way.'
