Lallana Looking For Ajax Revenge

Adam Lallana has said Ajax will face a completely different Southampton side when we meet this weekend, given our progression as a club compared to when we played them 3 seasons ago.

Speaking to saintsfc ahead of the friendly encounter, Lallana said the team would be looking to avenge our 4-1 defeat from 2009.

'We are looking forward to the game tomorrow. It seems like a long time ago, we lost 4-1, and I remember Luis Suarez playing. We are a few levels above where we were because we were in league 1 then. Things speak for themselves, we are in a completely different position now. Hopefully we'll give them a good game. It's a good test for us, and something we are looking forward to.'
