Saints Settle Clyne Dispute

Saints Settle Clyne Dispute

Southampton have announced that an agreement has been made with Crystal Palace over the compensation for Nathaniel Clyne.

Clyne signed a 4 year contract after joining on a free transfer, but due to his age, Palace were entitled to a compensation fee for developing him.

That fee remains undisclosed but it's suggested it is in the region of £2.5m which would be an absolute steal given Clyne potential.

Speaking to saintsfc Nigel Adkins said.

'He has done very well, he only had one training session before he joined us so we're upping the game with him in a way that will make sure he doesn't break down.'

Palace co-Chairman, Steve Parish told Sky Sports.

'We are very pleased to have worked constructively with Southampton to conclude the deal before it went to a tribunal.'
