'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Adkins - We Deserved More

Nigel Adkins believes our performance against Bristol City warranted more goals.

Speaking to saintsfc following the 1-1 draw, the manager said.

'I thought it was a good game, we could have scored several goals but there is no divine right to have it all your own way. There were lots of positives to take. I'm very pleased with the first half, how we started and pressed the ball. We have been working on a formation and I thought we were very assertive which was pleasing. It's just a shame we didn't score in that period.'

Adkins also said he was pleased with the progress that Steven Davis was making on his fitness, and he was pleased with the composure the midfielder brought to the team during his spell on the pitch.
