Fox - We Need More Character

Fox - We Need More Character

Danny Fox has called on the team to show more character and determination in our search for points.

Speaking to saintsfc as the players look for positives to keep their confidence and belief up, Fox said the work we need to do to bounce back is obvious to all.

'It's disappointing the manner in which we were beaten. I think we needed to show a bit more steel and a bit more character after going three goals down and especially at a place like the Emirates because it's always going to be tough. We have to look at the positives though. The ability is there so I think we need to be a bit more ruthless.'

As ever we look forward to the next game.

'Hopefully it's just one of those games and we'll work on the training ground now and we'll continue to progress against Aston Villa next weekend.'

Long-ball and defense, gentlemen. Take a page out of the Stoke City play-book. Last season's Swansea is a rarity. Very few sides can play a pass-oriented game in their first season and stay up. Make yourselves hard to beat. Those 0-0 draws add up! Hard tackles and complaints from Arsene Wenger equal success! You'll get your first win v. Villa! Three points in the bag. Stay positive.

Here's hoping Teddy! As you say, just got to be a bit cleverer and turn these losses into draws at the very least and things would look a bit healthier. Just need to be a bit more canny as the season goes on.
