Adkins Delighted With Villa Response
Nigel Adkins couldn't control his joy after we demolished Aston Villa today at St Mary's. The result finally matched the performance.
Speaking to saintsfc after the 4-1 victory on home soil, the gaffer said.
'We created opportunities and controlled the football for long spells. Rickie has now scored four goals and I thought the combination between him and Gaston was mouth watering. Likewise at the back, Maya Yoshida has had a brilliant game.
Adkins also talked about swopping Kelvin Davis for Paulo Gazzaniga.
'I thought he had a very good game today, Kelvin has been outstanding since I joined the club but I had to make a decision. I spoke to Kelvin who reacted exactly as I expected, in a professional manner because he's a top bloke.'
