Puncheon Backs Adkins To Turn Results Round

Puncheon Backs Adkins To Turn Results Round

With speculation growing over Nigel Adkins' future at the club, Jason Puncheon has said the dressing room are completely behind him and he is the man to continue moving us forward.

Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of the Spurs game, Puncheon said of the boss.

'Of course there's always going to be speculation when you've started the season a little slowly, but this is a manager who has guided the club back to the Premier League and he's focused on the job he needs to do. The players feel the same and we all support him. We've got to get on with the games, work hard and start picking up the points.'

As for Puncheon, he's finally off the mark in the league following the Dubious Goal Panel's decision to award him the third goal in the game against Aston Villa.

'I knew all along it was my goal and I don't know why it had to be referred. It was nice to get off the mark and hopefully it will be the first of many.'
