Saints Ran Out Of Time

Saints Ran Out Of Time

After a disappointing first half, Nigel Adkins believes we just ran out of time to draw level with our much improved second half showing.

Speaking to saintsfc after the 2-1 loss, Adkins said of our second half performance.

'We could have scored more, we had them on the rack, but unfortunately we ran out of time. The second half was very good I think and we gave ourselves the opportunity to win the game.'

Adkins also reserved praise for Jay Rodriguez.

'The second half was very rewarding, the supporters got right behind the players and the players lifted the supporters and we have scored one good goal through Jay. He's come here as a young lad and he works ever so well on the training ground, his movement is exceptional. Like everyone he needs a little bit of time but he is a special talent and he has a great future in the game.'
