Adkins Pleased To Gain The Point

Adkins Pleased To Gain The Point

Whilst frustrated to see another win slip from our grasp, Nigel Adkins said overall he was pleased with the performance of the lads today and a point is certainly better than nothing at all.

Speaking to saintsfc Adkins was pleased to see us move off the bottom of the table.

'I think we showed a good defensive resolve. We got on the front foot and caused Swansea a lot of problems. There are a lot of positives that we have got to take from this game and we will do.'

Adkins also took the time out to praise players for their performances.

'Players should take a lot of credit because they have worked very hard. Ramirez could've had a couple, so could Rickie and Adam was dangerous all afternoon. Puncheon had a good game with Morgan Schneiderlin and Jack Cork deserves a special mention because I thought he was outstanding, as was young Luke Shaw and Nathaniel Clyne.'
