Adkins Pleased With A Point

Adkins Pleased With A Point

Nigel Adkins has said that although he was disappointed to see us blow the 1-0 lead, on reflection he's pleased we gained a point for our efforts against Norwich.

Speaking to saintsfc after the draw, Adkins focused on the positives.

'When you look at it, it was a game of two halves, I thought we started ever so well. We had good possession and moved it around well but the goal on half time changed the complexion of the game. Paulo has to keep the ball out of the back of the net. I am a very supportive person, especially of the goalkeepers and especially of the young players that we have got. Talking of young players, I thought Luke Shaw was outstanding again, and it's a shame he had to come off with cramp. We have got another point on the board which is good. We haven't lost and we remain unbeaten, we will take the positives and move on.'

The key is keeping that unbeaten run going, as every point counts and every point will help. Many will believe we should've won and taken all three, but the performances are improving, we aren't losing games we should get something out of, so if we keep that progression going the wins will come again. Just keep not losing.
