Adkins Shaw, No Wenger Contact

Adkins Shaw, No Wenger Contact

Nigel Adkins has rubbished claims that he has spoken to Arsene Wenger about Luke Shaw.

Talksport carry the quotes from Adkins with him saying.

'No, he didn't say anything. As I have said before, Luke is better playing for Southampton, where he is being nurtured and looked after. We have a good culture here. He is under contract. We are not looking to let him go. If anyone wants to try and do business, all the best dealing with the chairman.'

The club have held this line for long enough, and Luke certainly hasn't said anything to contradict it in the press, so clearly he's happy to be here, and I don't expect that to change this window or in the summer.

I think from memory that's the second time he's referenced somebody having to deal with Cortese with that line. Says everything doesn't it :-)
