Claus Is The Man For Central Defence
In a recent poll we asked our readership 'Who should partner Chris Baird in defence once all are fit?'
In first place was Captain Claus Lundekvam with 52% of the vote. The club's influential skipper has been out of contention since the opening day draw with Derby County but is set to return to action soon.
In second place came Michael Svensson, the player who has been out for almost two years with a bad knee injury was influential in the successful team of 2003, if he can return to his old form then he is bound to be an integral part of the team.
Surprisingly new boy Pele only received 10% of the vote, he clearly hasn't impressed Saints fans thus far.
Martin Cranie and Darren Powell both received 3% each.
Please remember to vote in our new poll, 'Does George Burley deserve to be in second place in the Sack Race?'
