Vegard Forren Signs For Saints

The Norwegian joined Molde after he played against them for KIL/Hemne. Impressed they invited Forren and two of his teammates for a trial. Soon after he signed for Molde and began to make a name for himself.

Several European clubs were reported as checking him out as his star rose. A.C. Milan, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Hoffenheim, have been reported as watching him play for Molde FK.

Forren made his debut for Norway U21 in a match againstthe Ukraine U21's on 26 March 2008. In total he was capped 14 times by the U21's and then twice for the U23's.

His full debut was made last October and has now been capped 5 times at full international level.

His reputation is that he is a good defender and is comfortable on the ball.

Welcome Vegard to Southampton.

Looks remarkably like Claus Lundekvarm, or am I missing the joke? By the way SFC thanks for your message on VS. Only picked it up today, as been away.
