Pochettino Warms To Saints Fans

Pochettino Warms To Saints Fans

Although there were the occasional chants of 'one Nigel Adkins' he was given a warm reception by the fans. Talking through an interpreter he said, 'I want to thank the supporters for the very kind reception they have given me. It was amazing.'

He also spoke well of the players and said that he was pleased with their performance. Again talking through an interpreter he said, 'Tonight we have done very well and created at least seven good chances to score,' Pochettino said.

'The only shame was that we didn't score the goals, but we created a lot of chances against a very good side in Everton, who are fifth in the league.'

Man of the Match Morgan Schneiderlin said of the new manager, that he had been great.'In the next couple of weeks we will get to know him better. Now we go away for a couple of days [to a training camp] to get to know him and what he really wants from us.'

He added, 'In the next couple of weeks we will get to know him better. Now we go away for a couple of days [to a training camp] to get to know him and what he really wants from us.'

A bright start and one which bodes well for the future of our club.
