Saints Year 11 Opportunities

Saints Year 11 Opportunities

Southampton football club runs a programme for 16-17 year olds that gives both full education and football development.

The scheme was set up in 2010 and is exclusively for 16-17 year olds. There is a full time Sixth Form College programme plus there is a fantastic opportunity to fulfil your educational and football development based in the heart of St Mary`s Stadium.

This programme can lead to sports college opportunities and many youngsters have used the course to start them on their way to better things.

Those youngsters that are successful in gaining a place on the course will study for the BTEC Level 3 in Sport. They will also be representing Saints in the National Futsal College Leagues, playing against professional football clubs in the South West region with the aim to be crowned National Futsal Champions!

This is a great opportunity for 16 youngsters to join the course starting in September. Go ahead and make the call, you know it makes sense.

If you love football, Saints, and are serious about fulfilling your educational potential, then contact the Saints Foundation on 0845 6889370 and speak to our Education Officer Mark Gamble, or alternatively email mgamble@saintsfc.co.uk

Despite all the drawbacks to 'modern' football, schemes like this are something football can be proud of.
