'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Punch Wasn't Taking The Pee!

Mauricio Pochettino laughed off Jason Puncheon's ill timed toilet trip in the game against Everton, by saying players get nervous with a new manager.

The new gaffer was quoted in The Mirror as saying.

'I have only seen that happen once before in my career. But he was feeling a bit unstable and he had to rush to the loo. When there is a new manager, the players want to impress and sometimes nerves get the better of them!'

A sense of humour to boot.

Or extracting the urine!! Listening to Pochettino he seemed to feel that it was almost forgivable. Signs of stress he reckons. I shall keep my thoughts to myself.

Well with Punch's history, you can forgive him for being a bit nervous really. Made up with those involved, was being relied on and now a new manager coming in with his own ideas must be unsettling.

It's that rare really if it happens I suppose you have to forgive it in many ways and just treat it as a giggle. A good level headed response from Poch though I thought.

I agree. Thought he handled it well. Will probably get him some incontinence pads for the next game.

Mothercare will be pleased!

It shows how much it matters when a player can be affected like that. Shows he cares.
