Lallana Looking Forward To Return

With the first team squad spending four days in Barcelona any thoughts of a snow covered training ground were far from their minds. In fact training in such salubrious surroundings can only excite the palate and leave our players thirsting for more.

Adam Lallana, having been in light training for the past few weeks joined his teammates for their session at FC Barcelona's Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper on Wednesday afternoon as he had his first full training session since receiving his injury.

Talking about the immediate future Adam said that Monday night was probably the best performance that Saints have seen in the first half. His obvious hunger to get back was obvious as he spoke about the new management team.

He said, 'I'm so eager to get back playing, especially under the new boss. There's a team of four who have come in, and the gaffer is starting to get his messages across.

Great to hear that at last Adam is on his way back and that the bonding is working well with the new management team.

Think we are all waiting to see how effective Adam can be under the new regime. Am sure he will be raring to go but he needs to improve his defensive work.

Be good to have him back, bound to be a lift for the players aswell.
