Pochettino Won't Raid Espanyol

Pochettino Won't Raid Espanyol

Despite a link earlier in the week to Espanyol midfielder Joan Verdu, Mauricio Pochettino has said he won't be taking any players from his former club.

Speaking to Spanish radio show Esports Cope (quotes from Talksport) our new gaffer said.

'I'm not going to take any players from Espanyol. I won't do anything that goes against the club. There are a lot of football players in the world. I'm happy they're out of the relegation zone because ultimately I'm just another Espanyol fan.'

Still believe if there was a player he wanted, he'd do them right by it.

I feel sure that if Espanyol said that a player we could use was available we would bid.

Or we may set up an agreement for the summer.

Wonder what would happen if Nicola decided he was going to go for an Espanyol player. Early discord?
