'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pochettino Interview With The Sun

The former Argentina defender was taking a break during a busy four days putting his new team through their paces at Barcelona`s training ground and the city`s Olympic Stadium.

Pochettino secured the venues through local contacts — his name opens many doors in Barcelona because of his legendary status as an ex-player and manager at Espanyol.

The interview itself was not an eye opener but speaking about Adkins his predecessor Pochettino said, "Yes, of course, I felt sorry for Nigel. I`ve been in his position, losing my job after four years at Espanyol in November.

"Sometimes not only does a project end but so does a club`s philosophy. The goals and targets change. A coach can suit one project — but not another."

With his second game in charge away to Manchester United Pochettino has admitted to being nervous but not about the match. He said, "To meet Sir Alex will be a proud moment. He`s an incredible manager who has had a successful project for 25 years. But I`m worried about which Argentine wine I can take him. I worry he may end up disappointed."

Looks like he wants an even more attacking style from us which should be exciting. Hope he knows what he is doing!!

Pochettino sounded like a tame little pussy cat but he has joined us with the same vision that our esteemed leader has. Might be an exciting ride ahead for us red n whites.

Forget the wine, take all three points and let Ferguson whine.
