Forren Was A Pochettino Pick

Forren Was A Pochettino Pick

Vegard Forren has admitted he never spoke with Nigel Adkins and he knew the new manager wanted him here.

Speaking to the Daily Echo our new centre half didn't really tell us anything we hadn't already guessed.

'I never spoke to Nigel, I knew that there was a change and that the new manager wanted me here. For me it was never a problem, I was happy to be here and have an opportunity to play for Southampton.'

Many of us wondered to begin with if there would be any trouble if Forren had been an Adkins pick, but as more has come out and the timing issues with the new manager, finding out he was basically Poch's pick, doesn't really come as a surprise.

Every little bit we learn makes it seem more likely that Pochettino has had a say in our plans for a while.

Hope Forren proves to be a good buy as it will be a major plus for our squad.

If he was a Pochettino pick he will be playing sooner rather than later. Hope he is good.
