Lundekvam Praises New Saint Forren

Lundekvam Praises New Saint Forren

Forren moved to St Mary`s in a £3.5m deal from Molde earlier this month, and is in contention to make his debut for Mauricio Pochettino`s side at Old Trafford tonight.

The United game would be one hell of a baptism but Claus is confident that we have signed the best centre back to come out of Norway for many a long year.

"He`s a very modern centre half," said the former Saints skipper. "He`s very good on the ball and he reads the game well.'

"He`s strong one-against-one, and he`s a bit like me in that he likes to play, he likes to start the attack and join in.'

If Vegard does start we will soon learn how good he is as united will certainly try testing him out.

Claus did well for us and if he is even close to the mark it looks like we could be on for some solidity at the back once Vegard has gellede.
