Boruc Hopes He's Earnt Recall

Boruc Hopes He's Earnt Recall

Artur Boruc has talked about maturing, and hoping that he's proved himself between the sticks for us.

Speaking to Polish news organisation Sport, the 33 year old said.

'I've matured over the last few months. I was determined to get back in Southampton's goal. I lost my place, the Tottenham game ruined my plans but that was only a one off incident.'

As he finds himself back in the Polish national side, he also added that he hoped he had earnt his recall and could kick on with his international career with good performances behind him for Southampton.

'I hope I've earned my call up. I've been told I have a clean slate from the new coach. I've grown up and matured, goalkeepers are usually better with age so there is still some time ahead of me.'

Well he's certainly been performing well enough for us after his rocky start and won himself a few more fans.

I actually think that Artur could get a call and believe he will take it in his stride.
