One More For Rickie And He's History

One More For Rickie And He's History

Rickie Lambert only needs one more goal to go to down in the history books at Southampton.

He grabbed his 99th goal against Wigan, and one more to hit the 100 mark would see him join Saints legends, however Lambert told ESPN that he was more concerned in the City game with getting a point rather than his 100th.

'It would mean a lot. I don't focus on things like this, but where I retire, I'll look back at things like this and feel it's a good achievement. I'm confident it'll come sooner rather than later. I'm not going to be stressing over it, but against City, I'll be looking to get a point or win the game, rather than get to 00 goals.'

Sooner rather than later will most definitely happen, be even better if he can get both his wishes and he scores the winner against City.

Would love to see Ricky get his 100th goal for us against City on Saturday. A double would be nicer mind especially if the second was a point/s earner.

Rickie will always be remembered for his goals as they brought us back to the promised land.

This is true but it is always nice to be able to reach targets like this.
