Vegard Forren May Be Ready To Start For Saints

With Jose Fonte still out as he tries to recover from his injury, it leaves us with the present incumbents plus one Vegard Forren.at the weekend.

Vegard played 45 minutes for Norway last night in the game against Ukraine. He looked strong and solid and with this time under his belt it is possible that he could start against Man City at the weekend.

He has been in full training with us now for a couple of weeks and may now be ready to be unleashed against the formidable City strike force.

His performance for Norway will have given him a boost and hopefully he can carry the form shown for them into games for the Saints.

If he does play we have to see who he will play beside and at the moment my preference would be for Maya Yoshida as partner in the middle of our defence.

think there is a good chance he will get a part to play. Glad he did well and he must be feeling good within himself.

Maybe if the geezer played at the end of the Wigan match we would not ave let in their last goal.

Poch is hopeful of having Clyne and Shaw back, will he risk mixing the defence up if he doesn't have to?
