Mauricio Pochettino has said that he believes we have deserved more from his first three matches but he's confident our results will soon merit the performances we are putting in.
Speaking to saintsfc ahead of our home league game against Manchester City, Pochettino said that there had been plenty of positives to his start in charge of the team, and he's very confident that results will soon start going for us.
'We played games in which we have deserved to get more points than we have done, but I think the way we are approaching games and playing are the way in which we will start to pick up points.'
As for the City element, Pochettino was full of respect for them, but if we are at our best he's confident we can get something from the game and instead of focusing too much on what they can bring to the table - he does acknowledge his Argentinian compatriots - he focuses on what we can.
'We know that Manchester City were the champions last season so we will need to be at our best to beat them. Not only for me, but for anybody that likes football they can see that Rickie Lambert is a great footballer. Let's hope that in his next match Rickie will score his 100th goal and then his 101st and 102nd!'
That's the spirit!
In terms of our injured fullbacks, Nathaniel Clyne and Luke Shaw, Pochettino admits at this moment he's hopeful he will have them back, but, that decision will be made closer to the game.
