'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gaston Ramirez Is He As Good As We Are Told?

Some fans have recently questioned his fitness, and whether he is going to ever be able to reach our hoped for heights.

Since arriving he has three times now had a dead leg injury. Is this just bad luck or it it something more sinister? Could it be that Gaston is not strong enough for the rough and tumble of Premier League football?

With the team now playing an energy sapping high powered pressing game will we ever see our most expensive player at his best?

I would like to think we will. We have seen him working hard when he tracks back, and he will hopefully prove his worth to us given time.

It may prove to have simply been misfortune having three similar injuries and he will return fully fit and have a long run in the team. I will however wait and watch before giving my verdict on his worth.

It does cause concern I admit. More so when possibly our two most creative midfield players appear injury prone.

More flair than grit

Always the way with creatives though isn't it, their actual and perceived importance to the team tends to see them put back in a bit quicker that maybe a manager would with a bruiser because of the type of game they play. He's never going to be a battler though, but he should come more into his own with our improving play and confidence.

I was going to say that. Now as well a manager that will chop and change as ds be I think.

To make the talent work you have to put in the graft. Just look at players like Messi.

Messi does have pure quality to work with though.
