Saints Fonte Gets Close To Return

Saints Fonte Gets Close To Return

Centre half Jose Fonte, recruited by Pardew for £1.2m three years ago, is on the verge of a first team comeback as Saints travel to Newcastle a week on Sunday.

After a moderate start to the season Jose like the rest of the team grew into the task of tackling the Premier League and it's higher quality players.

When receiving his injury we were told he would be out for 6 weeks and it looks as though he is on course as expected. Has to be good news for the club.

More the merrier but will he take Jos's place or be chucked straight in? I would be tempted to stick with Jos for the next game at least.
