Lambert Hopes To Finish His Career At Saints

West Ham were reported as being interested in Rickie Lambert last month, but the striker says that he is completely at ease and enjoying his life at Southampton.

His contract runs out next summer but Lambert has said that he would like to stay and finish his career at the club.

Talking to the Sun he said, 'My family are happy here and I am very happy too. It has been a special three-and-a-half years and I would love to finish my career at Southampton.'

Good news for us fans as he continues to confound his critics.

Long as he keeps banging in the goals and playing so well we will be happy.

I don't think it'll be too much longer before he signs an extension.

A lot may depend on what the 'Sherrif' thinks of him. How Rickie will fit in with what he wants.
