'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jose Fonte Raring To Go

Since Jose received his injury we have seen Jos Hooiveld come in and show vastly improved form to that seen at the beginning of the season. His partnership with Maya Yoshida has taken shape and now looks to have a very solid shape.

Solid enough for there to be doubts as to whether Jose will make an automatic return to the side now that he has regained full fitness. Not something which we would have expected at the time of his injury.

Added to that we have brought in Vegard Forren and he will also be drawing near to getting a game and is a possible to make his debut as he grows accustomed to our way of playing.

Jose was signed for Saints by Newcastle manager Alan Pardew and he will be desperate to play. He has played 137 times to date as he helped us rise from the third tier of English football and will be keen to resume the fight as we try to rise even higher.

Good to have you back at full strength Jose but you may have to bide your time for now.

He will be busting a gut to beat Pardew's team if he gets to play. If rumours are true of reason Pardew left that is.

Jose was our no 1 CB when he received his injury and should be given the chance if Pochettino feels he will be right physically and mentally.
