Puncheon's A Player I'm Counting On

Puncheon's A Player I'm Counting On

Mauricio Pochettino has said that Jason Puncheon is a player he's counting on so he's hopeful that the contract issues will be sorted out in due course.

Speaking to Sky Sports Poch said he had had no discussions with the player about a new contract, but in a few weeks he would be sitting down with the appropriate people at the club to sort out such matters.

'There are certain movements that were happening with players when I arrived, in the coming weeks we will be speaking at a club level with the appropriate people to decide on the matters of players at the club. Puncheon is a player I am counting on and he is a player that has certain qualities and skills that are good for the team so, yes, I'd like him to stay.'

If Jason signs I will be pleased, after the way he has turned things around. A year ago we would willingly have shown him the door. Not now.

Not sure how I feel about Jason. Main worry is whether a young player usurping him again will bring the same reaction as before.
