Jay Delighted With Goal
Jay Rodriguez has admitted he was beginning to wonder if he'd end the game ruing chances, before he finally capped his performance by getting on the score sheet against Liverpool.
Speaking to saintsfc after grabbing the third goal in the game, JayRod admitted he was delighted to finally get his goal in the game.
'I found myself pulling away and usually I see Rickie there but it opened up for me. I was chuffed with the third one, but maybe I should've had another one earlier in the game. I got a bit of luck, but was really chuffed to score.'
Rodriguez adds that the aim of the team was to take all three points today despite us being the underdogs, so everyone in the camp is thrilled with the performance we put in, especially as it gained us the points we wanted.

I think we all were as well. The only thing missing from his performances of late has been goals.

Good to see him growing in confidence with games and importantly goals. Certainly looked today more confident and comfortable to me.
