Shaw Withdraws From England Squad

Shaw Withdraws From England Squad

It's being reported that earlier today Luke Shaw informed Stuart Pearce he wouldn't be joining up with the England U21 side today owing to an injury sustained against Liverpool.

It was expected that Shaw would have recovered in time for international duty, but he stayed at Southampton and underwent another scan which showed that the problem hadn't sufficiently cleared up.

It isn't however clear whether Shaw will join up with the squad for the second game next Monday.

There is also no confirmation on what exactly the injury is, and whether it is likely to keep him out of our next encounter, so hopefully there will be further clarification by tomorrow.

Feel sorry for the boy but worry that we have pushed him too far too fast.

Been worrying that we may be over playing the lad myself. Much as we need to play him perhaps we should give someone else a game occasionally.

Difficult isn't it, especially with how he's been performing. But it's a big step up, just hope it's not catching up on him.
