Rickie Warns West Ham

Rickie Warns West Ham

Rickie Lambert has warned West Ham that we're a completely different proposition now compared to when the teams last met.

Speaking to saintsfc ahead of the weekend's game, Lambert told the Hammers that we are a different team now compared to the one they beat back in October.

'It wasn't nice. We didn't do too badly first half, I thought we did well but they scored a goal which wasn't a good one and although we came back into it, it wasn't one to remember. It wasn't the best performance from us, but we're in a better place now than we were, so we'll obviously be looking to get a win this time.'

Lambert explains that our focus recently was to get out of the relegation zone and then see how high we could push ourselves aiming for mid table. Whilst we still aren't mathematically safe, we can certainly breath a sigh of relief and keep confidence high given the gap we have built up on those at the bottom.

'In our wildest dreams we were hoping for a top ten finish so to get a chance with six games to go is brilliant, and it's full testament to how far the club has come in a short space of time.'
