Pochettino Angry After Cruel Defeat

Mauricio Pochettino has cursed Gareth Bale's wonderstrike for losing us a point in a game that we more than deserved one from.

Speaking to saintsfc following the one nil loss, the boss explained.

'I think this is a cruel defeat because I think we did well enough - not just to draw, but to win the game. We were lacking that little bit of luck that you need in football to succeed. I am very angry about the goal because I think we played a very good game and because I don't think we deserved to lose today.'

Ultimately despite creating chances to win the game, we again failed to put the ball in the back of the net and that's something we've struggled with for the last three games, but Pochettino has plenty of positives from the way we are performing and as long as we take performances like that into our remaining games, he has no worries about us being sucked back into the relegation battle.

Can't be too harsh with the season they've had, it's day like this though we need more of a scoring threat from midfield to help share the responsibility.
