Lovren Looking For Long Saints Spell

Lovren Looking For Long Saints Spell

New defender Dejan Lovren has described Southampton as being a young team that he hopes to stay with for a long time.

The 23 year old joins us from Olympique Lyonnais for an undisclosed fee and he had previously been linked with a number of top European sides, so this is somewhat of a coup for Southampton.

The Croatian international has signed a four year deal and he told saintsfc.

'I've spoken with the Chairman and the coach, and this is a great project. They told me a lot of positive things, and I know the history of the club. I'm very happy that I can be a part of it.'

Mauricio Pochettino was clearly delighted with the capture, adding.

'We are very happy because Dejan is a very good player with good potential. It's a very good job by the Chairman and all of the staff at the club.'

At least we are starting on the improving of the squad. With two CB's yet to be played now I feel a bit happier.
