Gaston Going Nowhere

Gaston Going Nowhere

Mauricio Pochettino has said that he doesn't believe Gaston Ramirez will be going anywhere this summer despite the constant speculation of a move.

Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid are just two clubs that have been linked should Southampton be willing to part with our record transfer this summer, but Poch has no intentions of doing so.

'He's happy with us and we are counting on him for next season. It's normal clubs are interested in his quality, but we don't listen to rumours. We are planning for next season with him on board.'

Pochettino also admitted that fans shouldn't get too carried away with the names that we are being linked to because the club have a plan and don't plan on giving much away until deals are done.

'Lots of names have been linked, perhaps too many. Some have been invented, others not. We were after Astori, for example, but in the end we went for Lovren instead. He's a great player.'

Pochettino also said there was no truth to the Radja Nainggolan speculation.

I hope you are right Poch and he stays. At least we know we will get our money back at the very least.
