Vegard Forren Turns Down Loan To Molde

Vegard Forren Turns Down Loan To Molde

Norwegian international Vegard Forren has turned down a loan move back to his former club it has been reported.

The Norway centre-back is yet to feature for the Saints after joining in January but has turned down the move in order to fight for his place ahead of the new season.

If true then this shows a man prepared to fight for the right to play. That alone is reason to suspect that we may yet get to see him in our colours.

Having joined in mid season we were slightly surprised not to see him at all last season seeing how fragile our back-line was at times. The publicity arm of the club says this was expected and now we wait to see how good Vegard can be.

Turning down a return to his previous club where he enjoyed some success is a brave act and hopefully this will be a big step forward for him, and he will earn a regular slot with our first team.

Good luck Vegard. Make it and we could have a good defence for a few seasons.
