Redknapp Deal Done

Redknapp Deal Done

Milan Mandaric and Rupert Lowe have finally thrashed out a deal today and Harry Redknapp has returned to his 'spiritual home'.

Harry and Milan held a Fratton Park press conference at 5pm to confirm they're reunited, just over a year after Harry walked out. The Saints fans are generally relieved to see Harry go, especially with the bonus of receiving compensation for his contract at St Marys.

Now the situation is finally resolved and Saints can concentrate on finding the right manager to get their stuttering season back on track. The appointment is a very important one for Rupert Lowe. After the failure of Saints last few managers its now crucial he gets the right man to revive Saints promotion hopes.

Hopefully the new manager will have a different policy on loaning out Saints promising young players to our Championship rivals. Burnley have made it known they're keen to keep Nathan Dyer until the end of the season. Dyer told their official site he 'wouldn't mind staying for as long as it takes to gain more experience'. Dexter Blackstock is also still on loan at Derby County

Saints were dealt another injury blow today with the news that Michael Svensson will need a further operation on his knee, keeping the influential defender out until the new year at least.
