Lallana Looking Forward To Training Camps

Lallana Looking Forward To Training Camps

After returning to Staplewood for tests and initial pre season training, Adam Lallana has said he can't wait for us to go our tour of Spain and Austria.

Speaking to saintsfc ahead of our trip to Spain for a training camp and a couple of friendlies, the skipper said.

'It'll be nice to get away from all the distractions so we can fully focus on getting fit. We're away for a lot longer than usual, which will be interesting. It's a test being away from your family, but pre season is very important for footballers.'

Lallana says that having had a lot longer off last season, he feels it will benefit the players returning earlier and getting back into the motions of proper training and ball work, and he hopes we hit the ground running quicker when the season starts and get some points on the board from the early games.

Adam had a poor season by his previous seasons and will be looking to build on what he did last season.

Again as said elsewhere though, sometimes you have to give 12 months for adjustment as not everyody can do it instantly. Hopefully we'll see the old Adam now he knows what to expect and he can really kick on as people believe he's capable of.
