Ex Saints Defender Wanted By Yeovil

Ex Saints Defender Wanted By Yeovil

Former Saint Danny Seaborne Played a friendly match for Yeovil Town At Torquay United and did well.

Glover's boss Gary Johnson currently has just one senior defender in his squad and is keen to sign the player reportedly courted by Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers already this summer.

Barnstaple born Seaborne could be open to offers as he has family in the area. Seaborne is a free agent following his summer release from Saints, who stuck by the 26-year-old as he recovered from serious head injuries sustained in a nightclub attack almost two years ago.

Johnson said after the match, 'We like Danny and I'll have a chat with him,' said Johnson. 'It would be nice to do something with him, he looks a quality player.

'We know he's a quality footballer and he was unlucky with a problem that kept him out for a year-and-a-half, but we think he's back now and we're hoping to use our location because he lives around this way.

'He's available and we've staked a claim. Hopefully we can talk him into it because he's perfect for a left-sided centre back and left back as well.'

Hopefully Danny will accept the offer and help keep his local side stay where they are in the Championship.
