English Weather Is No Concern For Poch

English Weather Is No Concern For Poch

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that he has no concerns that our playing style will be affected by the current weather conditions.

Speaking to saintsfc ahead of the game against Stoke City at St Mary's, Pochettino said that he didn't believe the heavy rain or strong winds would really hamper us as he pointed to the conditions during the game at The Britannia Stadium earlier in the season which was reasonably similar so we know we can get round it.

'We've been looking at the forecast and it seems it will be very tough this weekend, just as it has been over the past few days. When we played them at their place, we learned how to learn to play against a terrible wind and in very tough weather conditions.'

Pochettino said it's simply our responsibility to not only prepare for what we will be up against in terms of the opposition we face, but also in terms of the elements.

And whilst yes we'll obviously have to adjust our play somewhat, that doesn't mean we abandon or change our philosophies.

Poch finishes by saying that being on an unbeaten run as we are, is perfect for our confidence going into the game and whilst he knows Stoke will prove to be a tough opposition on the day, we continue to take each game as it comes and focus on getting all three points from each match we enter in the league.
